First Season Games Scheduled for Sunday Sept 12th!

The long awaited start of the Panthers 2010 game season is upon us!  With the official announcement from Mid Hudson, our boys and girls are ready to play (and cheer) some football!

The Mitey Mites and Jr. Pee Wees will kick off the season with back-to-back home openers at Panas Stadium field.  The Mitey Mites take the field first with a game start of 2pm against Highland Little Huskies; immediately following, with a 3:30pm start, the Jr. Pee Wees take the field against the Little Huskies as well!

The Tiny Mites Gold and Blue teams will take the field in Phillipstown in their first away games.  Tiny Mite Gold plays first against the Phillipstown Hawks at 11am.  Immediately following, Tiny Mite Blue takes on the Peekskill Titans at Noon.

Go Panthers!!

Field Safety & Rules of Use

Yesterday we had multiple instances where a parent or family members entered the field during practice.
To restate the rule – only Board Members, Coaches, Participants or certified volunteers are allowed on the field during practice – this is for the players safety as well as your own.

Parents and spectators are allowed behind the netting OR on the visitors bleachers only.  The track is to be used for parents wishing to walk/jog/run during practice, with the understanding that parents will not use it as a means to get closer to practice, stop and discuss items with coaches and other parents. Please understand we have insurance and school use policies that we are abiding by and we appreciate your assistance in upholding these rules.

Your child should enter the practice field with their water bottles and put them in their team’s designated area.  If you need to speak to the coach, please wait until the end of the practice. If your issue is urgent, or if you have questions on policy, practice and/or equipment, feel free to go to the table area and speak to a board member.

If you have any questions or concerns, stop by at the main table tonight at practice.

Thank you,
Cortlandt Panthers Board of Directors

Equipment Swap

The ultimate in recycling!

Clear out your closets, garage and basement of all the football equipment and clothing (practice pants, jerseys, etc.) your kids have outgrown or are no longer using.

If you have equipment and / or clothing that is still in great condition, why not donate them or swap them out for others item your child could use?

Add a comment (right) to let others know what you have to give or what you might need. You can reply to a comment to ask questions or request the equipment.

Happy Swapping!

Golf Outing – New Date

The Golf Outing has been rescheduled.

First Annual Golf Outing, September 30, 2010 · 8:30am – 9:00pm, HollowBrook GC, Cortlandt Manor

Entry fee is $175 per player, which includes food, drinks, Golf and Carts and great prizes. Hole sponsorship is $250.00. We can provide a Tax number on request.

Whether you are “TIGER WOODS” or “IN THE WOODS” it doesn’t matter, as the format is Scramble, which means you have a 1 in 4 shots to get the ball in the hole. So brush off your clubs, come meet other parents and lets ALL get involved in starting the season off right for the kids. Please feel free to bring along your friends and make your own four ball or we can group you up on the day with “New Friends”.
